The Founder’s Guide to AI Generators
Update feb 2026: dear founder, get Claude Code. Trust me.
Generative AI is taking the internet by storm. You can build an entire app with a simple prompt; lovable, Bolt, Bubble ai, Gitlab, etc…
If you tried it you will have definitely spotted the issue;
while the result is incredibly close to goal visually, it needs several iterations + some coding skills + real cyber security knowledge to cover all the gaping holes and make it a real product.
So I decided as a designer/low-code developer to help founders use this incredible technology, without jeopardising their business.
Method 1 : Use generative AI to bridge the gap between business and development agency
“Exactly!” said Deep Thought. “So once you do know what the question actually is, you’ll know what the answer means.”
― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
let AI help you formulate the idea: just describe your app’s purpose and main functions to gpt or any AI of your choice and ask it to generate a PRD (product requirement doc).
use the PRD to generate flows: Break down the generated PRD to screens, and use UX Pilot, uizard or Figma’s first draft or any wireframe/ui generator you like to generate screens.
Or use PRD to prototype in Claude :)
→ You can ask UX pilot or uizard to generate full flows not single screens if you’re on the pro plan.
Method 2: Build it with AI then take it to a developer for a security check.
“Obviously somebody had been appallingly incompetent and he hoped to God it wasn’t him.”― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
As popular as AI software generators are, the outcome is almost always riddled with security weaknesses that it would actually harm your end users if you even use it for an alpha version.
🤔 So what can you do?
Use Bolt.new, Lovable, Bubble ai, softgen, etc to build your MVP either by sharing the screens or by a prompt, then find yourself a respectable dev agency or a developer willing to look it over and fix what needs to be fixed, it definitely costs less than building one from scratch!
→ check fahimai and Design with Ai for an in-depth comparison of ai software generators & step by step walkthroughs for some. Will help you shoose the correct one for sure.
Aaand you’re ready to go to market! That didn’t cost much, did it?
In short, you can definitely benefit from the amazing power of ai generators, but if you care about your app’s first adopters, who will decide the market’s impression that will stick in people’s minds, you need to make sure that:
Product is functional: no dead ends, no broken journeys, no unresponsive elements, etc..
Product is secure: no security issues, user data is safe.
Product is accessible: product takes every end user in consideration. Vision issues, surroundings, device differences, etc..
I wrote this because I am unfortunately seeing a lot of content by founders boasting about products they built in minutes, not one mentions what happened after launch. I love technology just much as the next girl, but I want people to know how to use it to benefit everyone.
“Here, for whatever reason, is the world. And here it stays. With me on it” ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
i.e: You’re not rid of humans yet, you bunch of bots 😆
What’s your take on AI mvp generators? Please share!
'Till next time, lots of love and #keepmaking
